About
Ages 13-19
Youth Group meets with the goal of nurturing teens throughout their difficult years. We do this by offering lessons that will encourage spiritual knowledge and growth, offering games and activities that will create and strengthen healthy friendships, as well as providing opportunities for the group to share their experiences and offer praise to God.
Our mission is for the group to leave each meeting stronger in their faith, and better equipped to deal with issues they face as teens.

Youth Group Leaders
Hi! We’re Nick and Jody the Youth Group Leaders at Avondale COG. We both grew up going to church week in and week out, learning about the stepping stones of faith. As God became more real to us, we saw our own need for Him in our lives and we made Him our choice by giving our lives over to Him. With each passing year, we see more and more the truth of His Word, the beauty of His salvation, and have an increasing desire that everyone accept this wonderful gift for themselves because we’ve witnessed the wonders of what it can do!
Now a family of 5, we are thankful for the opportunity to walk alongside other families while helping to guide teens during these crucial years. At Youth Group, our goal is to encourage a personal relationship with God through prayer, understanding the Bible, and discussing practical applications. On Friday nights, you’ll find us doing just that as we open the Word of God together, creating an uplifting space to build lasting relationships through games, laughter, and more.
